Placing An Order. To place an order, simply get in touch by email or fill out your details the contact field Approximate prices can be initially be given by email. To help give an accurate quote, please give details of servings required, a description of what you would like in both design and flavours and include any pictures if you have any. Alternatively list the recipients favourites and I can design a cake for you.
Payment. Once you are happy with the cake design, to save the date larger cakes require 50% non returnable deposit. Full payment to be made by cash or bank transfer in full upon collection.
Allergies. Unfortunately I am unable to cater for those with allergies, as my kitchen is not allergen free. Cakes are baked where there are products containing nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, therefore it cannot be ensured that cakes do not include traces or nuts/gluten. For example to be completely gluten free my kitchen would require separate work surfaces, utensils, cake tins, mixer and oven to avoid cross contamination. This is the same for those with nut allergies. But I also cannot guarantee that the products I use are not manufactured in a factory where they have not been exposed to nuts, as stated on manufacturers packaging. I do make Egg-less and Vegan cakes, but as above they are made in a kitchen where there are dairy and eggs present. My kitchen undergoes a deep clean before and after any bake and your health and safety is my highest priority. I would not wish to put anyone’s health at risk so think this important to highlight my catering abilities prior to your enquires and allow you to enjoy your celebrations without anything untoward happening.
Caring For Your Cake. It is best to transport your cake on a flat surface and kept level, usually the passenger foot well of your car with the air conditioning on. Remember to allow plenty of time for collection.
Buttercream Cakes. Your cake will be kept refrigerated up until the point of collection and should be kept refrigerated prior to the event.
Fondant Cakes. Your cake should be kept cool and away from direct heat sources and sunlight. It should not be stored in the fridge as this will cause the fondant to sweat.
Non Edible Decorations. Glitter Card. All glitter card details are individually hand cut, giving your cake the personal touch. These elements are either attached with edible glue or wired in place. Instructions of these will be given on collection, please ensure all non edible items are removed prior to consuming BOARDS, DOWELS AND NON EDIBLE DECORATIONS These are used to support tiered cakes or elements of decoration requiring structural support or be included as part of the cakes decoration . These are non edible and instruction of placement of these in the cake will be given on collection. Please ensure removal prior to consuming.
Fresh Flowers. If you wish your cake to include fresh flowers as part of the design, these will be quoted for independent of the cake. cost will depend on flowers required and they will be individually wired and taped to ensure no cross contamination with the cake. Please not there maybe some flowers that are unsuitable for use in cake decoration and for safety reasons be unable to be added to the decorations, as an alternative silk versions of these may be used.
Registration. Midnightbaker13 is registered with the local council, holds full public liability insurance and up to date food hygiene certificates. I am proud to hold a 5 star food standards agency rating
Collection. Times for collection will be discussed prior to order. Times are usually between 9.30 - 11.00 am Saturday and Sunday, but alternative times and days can be accommodated dependent on availability.
Delivery And Set Up. With larger cakes in may be necessary to deliver and set up cakes at the venue. Delivery and set up can be discussed on an individual basis prior to order.
ONCE THE CAKE HAS LEFT THE PREMISES, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
